Quit Smoking with laser acupuncture in Littleton or Denver Colorado Stop smoking?

Q. I have a friend that needs to Quit Smoking and he lives in Littleton Colorado, I have heard about laser acupuncture to stop smoking but does it really help you quit smoking? He is very holistic and wants a natural method to stop smoking. Does any know a place that helps you stop smoking in Denver Colorado area? Thanks for your help in advance!

A. I heard about this from my dentist, Acupuncture and Low Level Laser

Quit Smoking Littleton! Acupuncture and Low Level Laser therapy have a very powerful effect on the chemical system of the body. Both treatment types are well documented to affect a release of the bodys natural endorphins to create calm in the brain, and to resolve pain and inflammation in muscles and joints.
The usage of Acupuncture and Low Level Laser for nicotine addiction is mainstream in Canada and Europe, but is just starting out in the U.S.
At NeuroSolutions we are getting tremendous rates of success helping people quit smoking Colorado.

What happens if you get x-rays and are pregnant?
Q. I just found out I'm pregnant (about 5 wks. along) but I went to the dentist on Jan. 17 '09 and got x-rays of my teeth for some dental work. So, I must have been about 2 or 3 weeks along. Now I'm worried about what that can do to the baby.

A. Xrays are high-energy particles that penetrate the body. The problem is, once in a while one hits genetic material and breaks it. Developing embryos are most sensitive because their genetic material is going to multiply like crazy, and that genetic material is the blueprint for the structure of the body. Too much damage too early in development can cause mutations and defects. Similarly it can cause problems in the gonads (testes and ovaries) by damaging genetic material that might eventually form eggs or sperm. That's why some dentists will also give you the patient a lead apron to wear during the xray - extra safety for the baby, too!

The dental xrays are of your teeth. The radiation itself was not directed anywhere near your uterus. It goes in a straight line like light - any scatter is insignificant. The dental assistants wear lead because they run that machine all day every day, whereas you probably get one set of xrays about every 2 to 5 years. The level of radiation is pretty low. With that level and where it's aimed, it isn't going to harm the baby, or they would never point that thing anywhere near a woman of child-bearing years.

In fact there is a detectable level of radiation everywhere, from the particles emitted by the sun and stars - "cosmic radiation". The level is measurably higher at altitude, but you don't hear about high levels of mutations in Denver or Mexico City - because there aren't. In the 1950's, shoe stores had xray machines so you could look at your foot bones, and few problems were reported from them.

Your baby will be fine. However, now that you know, for safety sake, make sure any time someone suggests xrays that they know you are expecting.

What place is better to move to Colorado Springs or live close to Denver(main City)?
Q. I need some help with this. I am a dental assistant but I am working to become a detal Hygiene. I want to move to CO soon but I am not sure if I can get a job there. I can deal with any kind of jobs as long as they are available. How is the life in Colorado Springs? Is it better to live in Denver main city or Colorado Springs. Is there an airport in Colorado springs, PLEASE Help!!

A. Denver has become very crowded and is not the nice city it once was. I would go with CS as it is smaller yet still large enough to find work. The line of work you are in is in great demand. I have a friend that has done it for years. She started with a temp service that would put her with different doctors. She eventually found an office she really enjoyed and got a permanent position there. Maybe you can find a similar temp service in CS and get paid while you look for a full time Dentist's office.

What's the best Dental university/school in the NE of USA?
Q. I want to be a dentist or a dental hygienist. I want to go to a college where people say "Wow... there?". Is there any colleges famous for dentistry?
I'm currently in high school and know sure that I want to do something in the dental industry. What activites/classes should i take to prepare for this? I've decided in taking chemistry and biology since it's the only classes I can link to it.

A. i think these are good:)
