Q. My mom has been having a lot of problems with her teeth and I keep telling her to GO TO THE DENTIST! Well she kept telling me that she didn't know where to go because all the dentist offices will turn her away because she is a new patient. Is this true!? Because it just doesn't make any sense to why a dentist office would do such a thing.
A. Some Doctors and Dentists do reject new patients because they already have enough and feel if they were to take on more they wouldn't be able to provide a specific level of care. All she has to do is call around to see who is taking new patients. Dental health is something not to be ignored. I had a friend almost die from ignoring his teeth.
How do I volunteer at a local dentist office?
Q. I am 15 and I have always wanted to be a dentist (pediatric) and I want to do some volunteering. I figured if I could volunteer at a dentist office it would help me get familiar with what goes on in dentistry. How do I volunteer? Should I just go to my dentist and talk to them and see if they offer any volunteering options? And what if they don't how do I find a dentist office that has volunteer work available?
Thanks
Thanks
A. Dentist Office CANNOT make use of Volunteers since that is a For Profit Company
Are there any dentist offices in the DFW area that have cheap appraisals and would take payment plans?
Q. I was looking for some Dentist offices that offer cheap dental appraisals and maybe offer payment plans on expensive dental procedure all near the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Any ideas?
A. DENTISTRY ISN'T CH.EAP, NOR IS DENTAL SCHOOL...
Do dentist offices hire people with imperfect teeth?
Q. I've always considered going into the dental field, but my teeth are crooked and need braces (which I will get as soon as I can afford them). But will dentist offices hire me if my teeth aren't straight?
A. Yes they do. My local dental receptionist has teeth like the cow-catcher on a west bound steam train. I think the dentist must have employed her as a bet or something. (Or perhaps as a huge challenge for his spare time).
