How long does teeth whitening from a dentist last?

Q. Does it cause damage to your teeth? I use Crest White strips and it hurts my teeth sometimes. I'm a bride to be and want beautiful white teeth. How long does the white last from a dentist? Price range?

A. You can whitening your teeth before you wedding. I am sure you will get a beautiful smile on your face. This will decrease your tooth cavity and stained teeth for sometimes and will bring white shining teeth.

I am so embarassed about my teeth and i cant afford to fix them?
Q. dont say a dental plan. the dentists prices are still very high.

A. See if there is a dental school in your area they usually are less expensive and still do good work you just need to have a lot of time. Also most offices offer some sort of financing car credit is one where you take a line of credit and pay it off in low monthly payments. Also explain to your dentist that you do not have a lot of money and would like to work on the worst teeth first and one at a time if possible. Also see if there is a treatment that they suggest that would be less of a cost to you. They also have some private dental plans that are discounts so look into that as well.
Good luck

Can an implant be done by a general dentist or it has to be a periodontist?
Q. My general dentist has reasonable prices for a tooth implant and a periodontist or a prosthodontist are way to expensive.

A. It used to be the norm that only specialists performed implants, but more and more general dentists are getting in on the act too. They just have to take the courses and do hands on study to be qualified for it.

What you want to consider is whether or not the general dentist is placing a "mini-implant" in stead of a regular one. This is not always the best course of treatment and needs to be considered when deciding who you want to treat you.

Talk to both dentists and see which one you feel the most comfortable with. Do not base such an important and life long decision on price, and remember that you get what you pay for. Cheaper is not always better. (neither is more expensive--it works both ways)
