Where would you go in the Phoenix AZ area to have some dental work done?
Q. I don't have insurance and would like the name of a dental school or a more affordable place I could have some dental work done instead of going to a high priced dentist.
A. Called Banner Health Hospital on Thomas Road and W. 99th avenue. They have a list of dentists who will help.

I'm planning on going to college and becoming a dental assistant first and the a dental hygienist . I heard that you need for year of college to get into a dental school. But I want to know if its hard getting into dental school. Do you have to wait a for a couple of years? And if I'm planning my future good?

A. if you want to be a dentist, being a dental assistant or hygienist is simply wasting time. none of the courses transfer and they don't help you get into dental school. If you want to be a hygienist or assistant, that's great--but they don't do anything for the path to denist.
it is very difficult to get into dental school. Schools often take only 5-8% of those who apply which is a smaller percentage than most medical schools. You need a 4 year bachelor's degree in anything as well as taking the predental courses, which differ from school to school but always include 1 year chem, 1 year biology, 1 year physics, 1 year organic chem.
then you take the DAT exam and must score very high. Then it's another 4 years of dental school if you get accepted anywhere. Most students that get accepted have about a 3.6 or 3.7 GPA durin gundergrad.

I need to find an orthodontist to remove my braces for a good price.?
Q. I have been quoted $495, plus $275 for upper and bottom retainers. Which is a 25% insurance discount. I am located in the Ahwahtukee area of Phoenix, AZ. I am tryin to get quotes to avoid taking so much time off from work for a 15 minute consultation.
A. i would recommend you to get a list of "covered dentists" from your insurance and call them all. that is the only way you can get a list of quotes, good luck
