Q. I am from the henderson part of nevada, and I want to know which doctors or dentists are good for treating tmj, and to select the right form of treatment and instution to go to. Q. When I lived in Las Vegas, I would go to the UCLA dentistry student clinic and would save tons of money. Now that I live in Sacramento, CA I can't seem to find one. Anyone know of any because I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled out and since I dont have insurance it would come out to more that $2000! Thanks to anyone that helps

A. I am pretty sure ANY dentist school would...students need real mouths to practice on.....and obviously need to do it at a discount. I know I had a lot of work done at a dental school.....including wisdom teeth pulled.....had the most awesome dentist.

I did a quick search and the closest I could find to Sacramento is in SanFransico and Stockton.

How can I make air travel enjoyable?

Q. Allow me to say that I have never flown before. This summer I am going to face one of my fears,flying. I'm going to fly to Las Vegas from Cleveland,Ohio. I am clueless on anything I have to do to pull this off, from booking a flight to baggage check-in to just plain surviving this at all. Anyone have any tips for me? Thanks

A. Flying is amazing, don't worry about anything going wrong because it honestly won't.

Take some lollies on with you so you keep swallowing during take off and landing, having your ears pop is pretty much the worst thing that can happen on a plane.

If you are really scared then watch a movie, fall asleep or find some way to relax yourself.. what do you do in your spare time? If you listen to music do that. Something your body is used to.

Turbulence is normal, planes are built to cope with turbulence and pilots are trained to fly through it with ease. It doesn't last very long, and just keep reminding yourself that the flight will not last forever and before you know it, it will all be over (thats what I tell myself at the dentist)

Enjoy yourself, I was scared of flying when it was my first time. Now I love it!

How is residential market in Las Vegas?

I agree that although real estate has slumped a bit, and the short term outlook is cautious (because if the current liquidity scare), the long term outlook for Las Vegas is good.

I believe that Las Vegas is the west coast's version of Florida for retirees. No state income tax, low cost of housing (on a relative basis), and a destination city to lure friends and relatives to visit.

A lot of service industry jobs for sure -- because of the casinos. But these service industry personal will need professionals (doctors, dentist, lawyers accountants) to support their needs.

The problem up until now has been a shortage of land. But the BLM is releasing some up for development.

If you are an investor, it might make some sense to purchase a previously used home, in which the present owner is in difficulty. If you get a good price today, and hold it for the longer term, you'll do OK.

Just know that Las Vegas is a growing city with minor boom bust within the upward trend. Its built up fast now, it will slow down, and then it will play catch up again later.

A. I work in a dentist office and if you want to save some money this is what I did. I ordered some free trial offers over the net and then I bought some whitening toothpaste to maintain the results. My teeth are just as white as the people who get their teeth whitened in our office.

A. Yes, you can purchase orthodontic wax at the drug store, Walmart, etc. The only brand I have seen in the store in GUM...and it comes in mint flavor :)

Q. I know that people ask this question but I need some help. We are planning to move to Oregon within the next few months. My husband is an attorney and we need to live near a bigger city, Ie Eugene, Bend, Portland, etc. However I have always wanted to live in a small town since I moved to Las Vegas 15 years ago. Where is the best place to live? Not too pricy. I want a place where I can raise my family and have the green of Oregon and the stability of a job (my husbands) I am a teacher but I am aware of the school situation in Oregon. A. Look into a little rural town called Harrisburg. It is about a 15-20 minute drive from Eugene, so certainly close enough to commute. This is a town of 3,000 population, close-knit, has great sense of community, great schools, kids sports programs, and you can get a really nice home for $150,000-$175,000. If you prefer living on several acres, this would be a super place to be able to afford it, and still be close in to a city (Eugene). Because Harrisburg is in Linn County rather than Lane County (which is where Eugene is) the taxes are lower.

The primary drawback to Harrisburg is that to do any real shopping, you need to go in to Eugene. There are several small markets, including a drive-thru market; a hardware store, bank, laundromat, doctor, dentist and other services, and four miles away in Junction City there is a Safeway Supermarket and a Bi-Mart store (similar to Rite-Aid), fitness centers, and fast food places, among many other things.

Living in Harrisburg would also give your husband a larger area to look for work in, as it is about 20 miles from Eugene, 22 miles from Springfield, 22 miles from Corvallis, and 25 miles from Albany.

Just a suggestion of a place to look into more closely :).
