Q. I brush and floss daily, but my teeth are still yellowish. I can't afford to get my teeth whitened by a dentist and I don't want to use whitening strips because they haven't helped before. I need suggestions on what I can possibly use instead and how do use it. Thank you!
A. I am a dentist, if you are looking for the best teeth whitening, check out this

You'll get a white and bright smile just in 1-2 days and it'll last for 6 months or longer.

Can a dentist make a small tooth look normal size or give me a fake one?
Q. All but two of my teeth are normal size. They're very small and it almost looks like they're missing when I smile. I want to get them fixed. The rest of my teeth are straight and normal but the small ones really mess up my smile. Can I get a fake one or can they make it look bigger some how? About how much would it cost?
A. Yes. A dentist can cap the teeth and adjust the size to fit the rest of the teeth surrounding it. This sort of cosmetic surgery is done every day -- hundreds of times. Most of the actors in Hollywood and politicians, businessmen and women , models, and others, probably have had something similar done just for purposes of phtography and vanity.
As to the cost involved, that depends on the dentist and the amount of work necessary, and the type of cap involved. It could be a couple of hundred for the two, or for each, or more, considering the needs of your mouth and teeth. You can call any dentist's office and they can give you at least an approximation of the average cost.

How do I strengthen my weak dental enamel, other than the regular brushing and flossing?
Q. I had a decalcified spot on my front tooth. So I didn't smile much. The dentist fixed it up. But is there a way to prevent it? What else can I do to strengthen my enamel, if possible? Oh, and whitening too, any ideas on that? Any recommended toothpastes? Thanks in advance!
A. I am a dental assistant unfortunatly whitening weakens your tooth enamel. Floride is a good thing to use but if you use too much of it it will leave white spots on your teeth. these do not go away. A floride rince such as Act can be used 2 times a week for one min. DO NOT EAT OR DRINK FOR 30 MINS AFTER! Also make sure you are getting you daily intake of calcium.
How do I ask my dentist to redo his work for free?
Q. I recently spent about $500 on composite bonding on two of my upper front teeth.
The problem is that they clearly don't match the shade of the rest of my teeth. I don't think I'm being hypersensitive, it's just obvious. I suspect that my dentist didn't have a shade that matched my teeth during the procedure.
Should I talk to him or just find a new dentist?

A. I would certainly go back and talk to them but my friend had that done a few years ago and the dentist told her that there wasn't much he could do and that it would take a few years to match up. But certainly ask, your smile is so important and people can feel it when you feel uncomfortable. See what he says, see what he can do!
