How do i move to America while a dentist?

Q. I am a dentist im 26 i want to move to los angeles how do i do it in under 2 years, would i be able to do it?

A. Immigration is a long process sometimes taking years. One needs to have a sponsor who will petition them to the US. Expecting to work in the same field as you have in your home country is also a stretch as you will have to pass the states board exams before you can practice.

Here is the Dental Board of California website - http://www.dbc.ca.gov/

whats a good cal state to go to in order to become a dentist assistant?
Q. i live in Los Angeles California and i want to become a dentist. What nearby cal state can i go to in order to become a dentist...i want to be a dentist assistant first than move up to a dentist..
please also try to answer these
1. how many years of college
2. whats the tutition
3. if i become a assistant can i make my way up to a actual dentist
thankyou <3

A. First of all, an orthodontist is NOT a dental assistant. An orthodontist is a SPECIALIST in a particular field of dentistry; one who corrects the bite and straightens the teeth. A dental assistant is one who ASSISTS the actual dentist.

Junior colleges have dental assisting programs, but I do not believe that universities do, as they are for higher education.

USC is one of the top-rated dental schools in the country and you are already living in the neighborhood....not that that will help you get into it. UCLA is also a very good school. You are looking at 4 years of undergrad studies, then another four years to become a dentist. If you choose to go into a specialty, tack on another 2-4 years of schooling.

Last I heard it cost about $33,000.00 a year for USC. but I am not sure what the cost actually is.

It will be difficult to be an assistant and go to school full time, as both require so much of your time.

Good Luck to you though

What would be the best way to approach dentists about joining our provider list?
Q. I'm working for a dental savings service, which is similar to a preffered provider organization. Basically we have dentists sign up with us and agree to give our members 30% off on dental costs. This is mutually beneficial because dentists get more customers and give them the 30% they'd give the customer anyway if they had insurance, and our members save money. We are working to expand this to Los angeles. What is the best way to approach a dentist to joining our provider list.

A. Write them a letter explaining how your service could increase their patient load. Point out the benefits to them, such as advertising and incentives (for them and their patients, such as free toothbrushes and other supplies). Give them statistics on their local area as to the number of people use YOUR service already. Point out specifics from their office that would set them apart from other providers on your current list that would help them get more patients, for example targeting an office that specializes in TMJ treatment in adults or an orthodontist's office that specializes in adult treatment or one that does lingual braces --- show the office how their office would be unique to having an assoication with your company. Point out how your company needs an office like theirs that specializes in "something" that many of the other offices on your list do not.
