What to wear to a job interview?

Q. If its a dentist office job for a dental hygienist what would I wear. I know you shouldn't wear scrubs and I wouldn't wear a suit. I think thats too much.

A. I would wear business casual.....a nice blouse and dress pants or a blouse and skirt. Make sure the skirt isn't too short.

Do you think dentistry is unnecessarily academic?
Q. Do you think dentists are being over-trained academic side of things? I mean for general dentists, their job description isn't very vast, cavity filling, sealant application, etc. I mean, it doesn't 'feel' like an academic field, it's like if a butcher learnt the anatomy of an animal.

If you feel that its necessary for dentists to like all that academic work, do you think it's possible to be able to perform dentistry like a properly trained dentist with only practical education? (say if dentist shortages in war, poor countries, etc)

A. YOU ARE WRONG IN YOUR THINKING FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS: A DENTIST IS A SPECIALIZED DOCTOR OF THE MOUTH. TO UNDERSTAND ALL THE FACTS IN DOING THIS PROFESSION A WIDE ARRAY OF EDUCATION IS REQUIRED.
ASK YOURSELF HOW MANY OF YOU FRIENDS ARE DENTISTS?
ANY TECHNICIAN MAY KNOW HOW TO DO A TASK, A DOCTOR KNOWS WHY. AND ALL THE KNOWING OF WHY TAKES MUCH TIME AND TRAINING.

can i go to my local dentist to get a permanent metal retainer made?
Q. my plastic one doesnt seem to be working, cause my teeth aremoving, and i want to get a permanent metal retainer stuck to the back of my top row of teeth.... will just a local dentist do the job or will i have to ask my ortho (but she's super expensive).

how much would it cost if i can have it done at the dentist?

A. You should return to your orthodontist.

If you are having shifting problems or simply want a permanent retainer, he/she may be able to do this for a reduced price or maybe even free since you were a patient. Be honest with him/her and tell them what the issue is.

Are you wearing your retainer as instructed? Teeth should not move when you have a retainer and you are wearing it correctly.
Also one other thing that you should know. If you have a removable retainer now which fits over or around all of your teeth and the teeth are not being held correctly, placing a cemented wire on your lower teeth will only hold the front 6 teeth.
Most of the time, you cannot do an upper cemented wire because of how the upper and lower teeth come together. Most people would end up biting off the upper wire. (Or worse, chipping your lower teeth!)

London dental jobs, whats the best website for this?
Q. My friend has recently moved to London from the south coast, she's having trouble finding Associate Dentist jobs to apply for. She has 10 years experience so should not really be finding it this difficult? (She's been offered plenty of jobs outside of London that aren't commutable) Does anyone know which are the best websites to use, or other tactics to get employed as a dentist/GDP (private or nhs) in this big old city! :-)

A. Google london dental jobes
