Q. I just moved to a new city (Columbus, Ohio). I don't know anybody here yet (otherwise I would ask). My insurance has lists of available doctors, but how do I know which ones are any good? Are there any good websites that are unbiased and have reviews of local doctors?
A. Yes, you are walking in with your eyes closed. Perhaps you might want to talk to others in your community - campus, etc.
My experience has been to take a random name and if I was uncomfortable, I would simply switch to another.
For me unless a doctor is either uninformed or has a jerky personality, they are fine for basic GP purposes.
Good luck.

good plan for becoming a dental assistant?
Q. I am 19 years old and currently live in Columbus, Ohio. I would like to relocate to Florida in a year.
There is no ADA approved course for dental assisting in my city. If I'm reading the info correctly, I would need to attend one to be a dental assistant in Florida. Does anyone know if this is correct?
Should I wait and attend school in Florida instead?

I want to be a dental assistant in columbus,Ohio?
Q. I am registered to begin school in January but I want to get my foot in the door somewhere now. I dont have any experience other than when I go to the dentist but this is a serious career change that I want to make. Is this possible to do? Many offices are only hiring experienced dental assistants but I know to work in this field it is not required to be certified in columbus. Is there any Dentist out there needing the help and willing to devote the time?
A. Good luck with that :)
